Selecting and Configuring Phone Devices

Configuration of phone devices is accomplished from the Property Wizard Phone Devices page (See Installing TAPI, TSAPI or Mitel).

The pop up menu is displayed by right clicking on one of the devices in the Phone devices list or highlighting one of the selections and clicking Options. Some selections may be disabled because they are not supported by the currently selected phone service.

• Toggle Selection: Selects or deselects a phone device for monitoring. Any number of extensions can be monitored.
• Dialing Properties: Displays the Dialing properties dialog box.
• Edit Device Name: Provides a means to associate a user-friendly name with the device name. The user-defined name is displayed instead of the device name. For example, for extension 103 a user-defined name of Bill might be more meaningful.
• Select Media Mode…: Allows selection of the transmission type the device will support. The default is INTERACTIVEVOICE. If an error occurs when attempting to dial out try changing to DATAMODEM. This is particularly true with modems.
• Set as ACD Line: Displays the Setup ACD Line dialog box. This allows a line to be included in the Automated Call Distribution list.
