In CTILink, select Options - Client Applications -
TeleMagic to display the TeleMagic Properties dialog.
Check the Link to TeleMagic checkbox.
When a call is received, CTILink will automatically
search all records in the selected database for a record with a matching phone
number. If Display TeleMagic on incoming call is checked, CTILink will
display TeleMagic if it is minimized with the matching record showing.
Enter the same User Name and User Password that
is used when starting up TeleMagic.
List the drive and directory where the TeleMagic
application resides in the TeleMagic Directory edit box.
If the format of the phone numbers fields are
different than the default TeleMagic phone format enter the format in the
Search Number Format edit box.
The View DDE is used to view the DDE conversation
between CTILink and TeleMagic and is provided for troubleshooting purposes.
Click on the Selected Database tab.
In the Database list, select the database that
CTILink should search on a received call.
In the Indexes to Search list, select the indexes
that should be used for a search. More than one index can be selected by
holding down the Ctrl key while clicking on a selection with the mouse.
If a matching record is found, CTILink will display
the value of a field from the matching record in the CTILink caption bar. In
the Level 1 Result Field select the field that should be displayed if the
search matches a record in level 1. In the Level 2 Result Field select the
field that should be displayed if the search matches a record in level 2.
Click the General tab.
To test whether all the parameters have been correctly entered, enter a
number that is in the TeleMagic database in the Test Search edit field and
click Test. If the number is found, CTILink will display the result field
value that matches the searched number and TeleMagic will display the
corresponding record. An error message will be displayed if the record cannot
be found.
